Food Lion fraud award against ABC thrown out
Article Abstract:
The US Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit threw out damages awarded for fraud in Food Lion, Inc. v. Capital Cities/ABC, Inc., stating Food Lion had failed to prove injury from two ABC employees who lied on their resumes to get job with Food Lion and report on their mishandling of meat. The court left only a $2 award for damages from trespass.
