Juvenile boot camps: "puff piece" turns into revelations about abuse
Article Abstract:
The National guard stripped the facilities of their military bent and ousted the secretary of the department of juvenile justice. The series showed that guard at the camps were routinely assaulting juveniles in their care, kicking, punching and slapping them to the ground without provocation, often while kids were handcuffed and shackled.
