Chopper wars: competition for patients becomes dangerous game
Article Abstract:
A medical helicopter war has placed accident victims in unsuspecting danger in the secluded serenity of the central Pennsylvania Mountains. Of the twenty-six calls in a year for a helicopter, the choppers were twenty-three times late, which is a main cause for deaths of the patients on the way of their flight to the hospital.
