Privacy exemptions may prove higher hurdle than national security
Article Abstract:
Federal agencies used privacy exemptions to withhold records more than any other exemption available to them under the (FOIA's). FOIA's exemption 6 protects information about an individual when release of the information would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy and enforcement 7(C) protects personal information in law enforcement records.

A case of Taycheedah Correctional Institution in Fond du Lac is presented where a lady called Michelle Greer died because of an asthma attack, as she didn't receive timely help from the corrections officers. The corrections officers contacted the Taycheedah health services twice for her, but the nurses told that it was not an emergency as she was able to talk.
