A summer's worth of reading
Article Abstract:
There are many novels that have journalists as their heroes. Most of the authors of these novels are also journalists. Some of these books are widely recommended because of their realistic portrayal of investigative techniques used by reporters in their work. However, there are also books that unrealistically portray the world in which journalists move. Unrealistic portrayals have a negative effect on the public's perception of journalists.
