Writing in-depth profiles
Article Abstract:
Journalists are provided useful tips for writing unique and insightful profiles. Humility and good listening skills are identified as essential tools needed by an individual writing a profile. Biographical questions must also be asked to break the ice during an interview. Journalists should attempt to identify a narrative thread or an internal debate while listening to the interviewee and must create a story based on the interviewee's opinion on the incident or anecdote.
