Channel funnels its ITV resources

Channel Television reported profits of 2 million pounds sterling last year, and forecasts an increase of 500 thousand pounds sterling over that figure this year. Despite being ITV's smallest franchise, Channel Television prides itself on representing its most affluent demographic, its ties to the community and excellent development opportunities for its employees

Article Abstract:

Broadcast shares and ratings for the week April 15, 2001 are presented. Sunday's, Monday's, Wednesdays and Friday's "Coronation Street", picked up first, second, sixth and seventh places for ITV, and Monday's, Tuesday's and Thursday's "EastEnders" captured third, fourth and fifth places respectively for the BBC to take the top seven spots this week.
