Illinois Chapter: holds 42nd meeting in Champaign
Article Abstract:
The Illinois Chapter that held its 42nd meeting on 2-March 2004 at the Hawthorn Suites at the University of Illinois campus in Champaign is described. A total of 32 papers were presented which covered a wide range of topics including innovative dredging techniques that can be applied to small ponds, application of lampricides to a watershed in the Great Lakes basin and genetic identification of shovelnose and pallid sturgeons.

Auburn University Chapter
Article Abstract:
The yearly sale of shrimps was conducted on 4-5 September 2003, by the officers of the Auburn University (AU) Chapter to increase the funds for its activities and also offered travel and cash prizes for the best members. The AU's Fisheries and Allied Aquacultures (FAA) department has successfully completed the function and aimed at directing the funds received for charity at the Lee County Habitat for humanity.

AFS 2007 annual meeting: the San Francisco treat

The American Fisheries Society held its annual meeting in San Francisco, California on 2-6 September 2007. The meeting was the second largest in AFS history, with more than 2,650 attendees ad guests.
