Narrow focus lands BBC3 with an awareness gap

Viewer ratings for week 40 show that BBC3Es share (2.13%) of the younger viewers was way behind the leader SkyOne (4.09%), ITV2 (3.47%) and UK Gold (2.34%). Professor Barwise suggested that BBC eloosen upE and go after the 16-45 year olds by dropping the 7 pm News and increasing focus with 60 Seconds. The big hit of the week was BBC1Es Himalaya with Michael Palin, which opened with 9.13 million viewers.
