Making the big time

Article Abstract:

John Myers, radio division managing director of the Guardian Media Group, in the last two years has increased the local stations' share to 40%, and increased the value of the radio division to 100 million pounds sterling. Myers plans to spend 10 million pounds sterling on digital radio over the next five years, and feels the deal with Emap is a critical step in reaching the goal to have a presence in every major city in the UK within three years.
