Favourites emerge for 'best job in TV.' (search for new chief executive for Channel 4)
Article Abstract:
A number of key names have been suggested to replace Michael Grade as chief executive of Channel 4 following his recent resignation. Possible candidates for the position are Alan Yentob, currently director of programmes at the BBC, Michael Jackson, BBC1 controller, and John Willis, director of programmes at Channel 4. Jackson has spoken openly of his wish to be appointed, but some observers feel that he may not wish to leave BBC1 so soon after having been appointed controller.
