Stressed Eric scoops primetime NBC slot
Article Abstract:
NBC, the biggest broadcast network in the US, has acquired BBC's animated primetime program "Stressed Eric" from British distributor Itel in a deal marking yet another US success for UK animation. It is the first time that a US broadcaster has purchased a cartoon series from overseas to air in a nighttime schedule. "Stressed Eric," which is co-produced by Absolutely Productions and US animation house Klasky Csupo for BBC, will debut on a Wednesday primetime schedule on Aug. 12, 1998, after the airing of the sitcom "Third Rock From the Sun."
