Trade and international telecommunications policy
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to examine the effect of trade infrastructures for international telecommunication services. Policy-makers are concerned with the establishment of trade regulations which would complement GATT negotiationsand the NAFTA. Since communication and information services have already pervaded the markets of international corporate economies, control of telecommunication has been shifted to the private sector.

The independent and interactive antecedents of international knowledge
Article Abstract:
The roles that news attention, education, interpersonal discussion and international involvement play in the development of international knowledge are discussed. The analyses flesh out a complex form of the knowledge gap, in which people with high education levels benefit most from the mass media whether their level of interpersonal discussion is high or low.
