The politics of UK television policy: The making of Ofcom

Article Abstract:

A study argues that the establishment of Ofcom should be understood as representing a shift in the focus of UK television policy instead of just a regulatory policy based on technological changes. It is strongly felt that Ofcom must be seen as the institutional embodiment of New Labour's competition policy plus approach to UK television regulation.

Signs of the Holocaust: exhibiting memory in a mediated age

Article Abstract:

The Holocaust Exhibition at the Imperial War Museum in London, England, attempted to present an authentic sampling from this event, but may not have been adequate to visitors' expectations. This exhibition positioned memory as problematic when offering to address and incomparable event.
