An undesirable effect of JIT
Article Abstract:
Use of just in time (JIT) by manufacturing firms can lead to increased job stress. Problems can arise in areas of work pace, reduced inventory, reduction of setup time and cross training. Solutions to JIT stress can come from improved time management, social support systems, aerobic exercise programs and changing jobs if some workers cannot adapt to JIT.
