The US President George W. Bush is facing lowest approval rate in his second term, as all his problems are traced to global security issues. Pre-emption, operating from faulty intelligence, Abu Gharib and Guantanamo, inappropriate handling of post-war Iraq and making Iraq the highest priority in the war against terrorism are some of the security errors committed by the US President.

US defense equipment acquisition: Style and substance

Article Abstract:

The US Department of Defense equipment procurement methodology explains a lot about the ongoing military transformation, as the trend is more towards 'War on Terror'. This transformation could however lag behind the actual transformation of military services especially in regard to 'protectionism'.
