AGH-84H SLAM-ER

Article Abstract:

The US Navy has declared the AGM-84H Standoff Land-Attack Missile-Expanded Response (SLAM-ER) to be operationally effective and operationally suitable. The Navy's SLAM-ER program manager Captain AJ Benn declared SLAM-ER's successful demonstration of all of its mission areas and key performance features. The approval is expected to pave the way for Milestone III approval of full-rate production.

Boeing's third-generation harpoon attracts navy support

Article Abstract:

The US Navy is supporting development deployment of the precision-guided Block III version of Harpoon antiship cruise missiles. The Block III builds on the Block II configuration, adding a two-way data link that receives updated target positions in flight as the missile heads toward the target area and sends radar images back to the launching platform.

Tactical Tomahawk begins final test phase

Article Abstract:

A Block IV Tactical Tomahawk cruise missile, built by Raytheon Missile Systems was launched from an operational surface combatant equipped with the Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System. The final phase of government evaluation of the new missile was conducted in the Naval Air Systems Command sea range off southern California.
