AGS: the fundamental issue

Article Abstract:

Muller Ralph D. Crosby Jr, president of Northrop Grumman Corp's Integrated Systems and Aerostructures Div, shares his viewpoints mainly about company's plan for Europe and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's (NATO) Airborne Ground Surveillance (AGS) program. He says that it is unlikely that Northrop Grumman will enter into a merger or joint venture with a European company in the near future. With regards to the NATO AGS, he claims that Northrop Grumman will be significantly involved if it pushes through.

Raytheon reorganises defence electronics business

Article Abstract:

Raytheon Co reorganized its defense and government electrinics businesses. The move paves the way for a more direct link between the operating units of Raytheon and the corporate executive office. Aside from phasing out Raytheon Systems Company, Raytheon established a new Electronic Systems business through the consolidation of its former defense systems and sensors and electronic systems segments. Moreover, Raytheon also merged into one organization its domestic and international business development.

Rheinmetall Defense Electronics demonstrated a new vision system for pilots, called AVIOR Night Training System (NTS), at an exhibition in Orlando. Consisting of AVIOR VisIR and PC-based image generator, database system and a touchpad-based Instructor Operator Station (IOS), AVIOR NTS provides a perfect visualization of typical night-vision effects.
