ASTOR on track for 2006 in-service date

Article Abstract:

The Raytheon Vice President Integrated Airborne Systems Tom Kennedy stated in 2006 that the UK's Airborne Stand-Off Radar (ASTOR) capability is on track to meet a contractual fourth-quarter 2006 in-service date (ISD). He also noted that this would involve the delivery of two Sentinel R Mk 1 surveillance aircraft and two tactical ground stations (TGS), the availability of sufficient trained personnel to operate the equipment and an in-place Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) package.
