Chemical detection equipment for emergency response

Article Abstract:

Chemical detection equipment (CDE) is an essential component of hazardous material (HAZMAT) emergency response, which detects the harmful agent, correctly identify it and define the area of exposure. The different technologies and devices that might be used by first responder teams in the field, such as chemical paper, M256A1 CE detection kit, colorimetric tubes, ion mobility spectroscopy and infrared radiation detection, are discussed.

ROK engineers

The role of the Republic of Korea (ROK) engineers during the Korean conflict in 1950 is described. They were very proficient in the use of both antitank and antipersonnel mines despite less equipment and training.
