Chinese Smerch among new systems revealed in Beijing parade
Article Abstract:
The A-100 multiple rocket launcher (MRL), a revised version of the Russian-designed Smerch MRL, is among the new weapon systems set to make an appearance at the 50th anniversary parade in Beijing, China, on Oct 1, 1999. Also making their public debut during the parade are the HQ-61 surface-to-air missile and 130 aircrafts, possibly including the J-10 Chinese multi-role fighter aircraft.
