Cultural education and the reading program
Article Abstract:
A good understanding of the region in which Marines operate will provide them with a framework for analysis and decision making in that area. The books that Marines read must provide them with insights into cultural differences and similarities and the ability to understand viewpoints of civilians, insurgents and terrorists.
