ELBO announces KENTAURUS AIFV project
Article Abstract:
Hellenic Vehicle Industry S.A, has developed a new Armoured Infantry Fighting Vehicle called the KENTAURUS (Centaur). The AIFV features key characteristics such as lowest profile for maximum survivality, air transportability, high firepower, day/night and adverse weather combat capability and high first-round hit probability. KENTAURUS is powered by an MTU 6V18TE22 V90 liquid-cooled turb-charged diesel engine, coupled to a ZF LSG 1000 fully-automatic six-speed transmission with integrated hydraulic brake and Renk final drives.

FNSS offers 21st century IFV
Article Abstract:
FNSS is offering to the Turkish Land Forces Command the development of infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) called ACV-NG (Armoured Combat Vehicle - New Generation). To slash development time and cost, the new-generation IFV will feature various components of the current AIF, which in turn is based on the previous M113. ACV-NG is expected to be ready by 2004 to be unveiled along with the new MBT presently being chosen.
