The Franco-Italian FREMM programme for the new family of multi-mission frigates was held at the Euronaval exhibition, held in Paris wherein the French Defence Minister, Michelle AlliotMarie and her Italian counterpart, Antonio Martino, jointly signed an official Declaration of Intents. The computer-generated drawing, FREMM depicts the near final configuration of the Italian Navy's GP version.

The Asian DDG race
Article Abstract:
Five Asian countries are involved in the ambitious naval construction programmes and are building their respective new classes of air-defense destroyers. The naval shipbuilding race taking place through the subcontinent, especially in India, South Korea, Japan, China and Taiwan is described.
