Handling the twin threats

Article Abstract:

The threats, which are challenging the US and allied defense community, are the threat of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and terrorism. Steps are taken to curb the threats for more than a decade and US is once again looking at reinforcing defense alliance from Greece north across the Mediterranean, including Turkey, Israel and US land and sea-based anti-missile forces deployed in the region.

War against terrorism and the art of restraint

Article Abstract:

An overview is presented on the use of air campaigns and ground campaigns in the US War on Terrorism, launched after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. It is concluded that when air warfare was reduced in October, conditions predicted a long war as air superiority does not guarantee ground superiority.
