William S. Gould, a former US soldier, desires to be a first responder, a member of a medical team that would be called upon to address the victims in chemical or biological attacks. A description is given of an hour-and-a half of lectures that the responders had to attend at six stations before and after the application of the vaccination.

Article Abstract:
The photos by Joe Rosenthal photo of the five Marine riflemen and Navy corpsman received the Pulitzer Prize and were the inspiration for the Marine Corps War Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery. The photograph was aimed to symbolize the spirit of the Corps to all Marines.

Sounding off at USMA

The United States Military Academy's band has played an important, and very visible, part in the academy's history. The band is planning its role in the academy's bicentennial celebration, to be held in March 2002.
