To ambush or not to ambush

The situation that 1st Squad Leader, 1st Platoon, Company F, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines (2/7) faced regarding the decision to establish an ambush and set his squad into hasty ambush positions oriented to the northwest, and simultaneously encountering six enemy unit moving around them, is addressed.
