Uneasy alliance forms for UK CVF

Article Abstract:

The UK Ministry of Defense (MoD) is facing the task of brokering an agreement between two companies for the selected design developed by Thales as the basis for the royal Navy's Future Aircraft Carrier (CVF) programme to establish a tripartite alliance. The analysis concluded that BAE Systems displayed a sound understanding of the complexities of the project in terms of project management and prime contracting, while Thales provided an innovative design that is flexible enough to meet their demands.

UK begins introduction of upgraded RESM

Article Abstract:

An upgraded variant of its Outfit UAT radar-band electronic support measures (RESM) suite is introduced into frontline surface units. It will be used to detect, analyze, identify and localize radar emissions from a wide variety of emitter sources providing situational awareness, threat warning, targeting support and tactical intelligence.

Denmark accepts C-Flex command system

Article Abstract:

Terma delivered the C-Flex command-and control system to the Royal Danish Navy after system acceptance trials. C-Flex was developed by Terma and Systematic Software Engineering in collaboration with NMC, to overcome obsolescence issues associated with the Flyvefisken class existing command, control communications and intelligence system.
