Romaine Fielding's real westerns
Article Abstract:
Director Romaine Fielding's body of work has sadly been forgotten despite his unique approach to the western genre early in the history of filmmaking. A survey of Fielding's extant works as well as reports of his other films show they were successful attempts at authenticity due to his effort to film in western locations and to explore human issues without relying on conventions that had already emerged in the genre in his time. Fielding's non-typical westerns can also be credited for their use of symbolic imagery, positive portrayals of native peoples and psychological explorations of the pioneering culture.

The achievement of Thomas had lingered in the memory of the political figures of Saudi Arabia and the UK since it brought various political issues and conflicting perspectives among British and Arabs in Muslim communities in the UK which prompted the British government to take curative measures but not at the expense of the truth of the drama.
