Those who are knowledgeable about computers, known as 'computer geeks,' have upset those who are knowledgeable about audio equipment, known as 'audio geeks,' by trying to take control of the convergence of the two types of equipment. Computer geeks should stick to what they know best.

Adcom's The Ball serves as a mouse for the home theater. It offers the best graphical user interface. The Ball eliminates the need for many other remote devices. It requires only one hand to operate. Only one click is needed to get to the control screen or full-screen video.

The Paradigm Mini Monitor ($339 per pair) improves upon Paradigm's already-excellent Mini-Mk3 by substituting a 1-inch metal dome tweeter. The Sonus Faber Concerto ($1,850 per pair) displays excellent sound, good enough to be paired the very best tube amplifiers.
