Pres Clinton's multi-billion dollar proposal to stimulate the economy includes the formation of jobs, but it will likely be rejected by Congress because of its expense and the tax increases that would result. The economic proposal is evaluated, and seen as a guide for other countries with weak economies.

Six TV executives, four image consultants and historian Michael Bliss all gave their opinions of the televised debates in May 1997. Bliss says the politicians' poor behavior may have increased voter apathy. The image consultants were also critical, but the TV executives had mixed reactions.
