The Montreal World Film Festival, from Aug 24-Sep 4, 1995, has more foreign films but is less selective than the Toronto International Film Festival, from Sep 7-16, 1995. The Toronto festival has more links with Hollywood commercialism than Montreal, but Montreal's is a true competition.
