AIDS Update
Article Abstract:
Research continues to improve drug therapies for HIV and AIDS despite concerns raised by major pharmaceutical corporations. Drug firms view the costs of developing therapies and vaccines too costly and inaccessible to poorer regions where HIV and AIDS are severe threats. Testing may also raise ethical concerns, as human subjects would be needed to conduct drug trials.
