Arkin is the son of veteran film and TV actor Alan Arkin, and grew up in New York City and St. Louis, MO. Arkin began his career by playing mostly comic roles in both films and TV. The 39-year-old actor is now the star of the hit TV series 'Chicago Hope' and is set to direct an episode in 1996.
