Anzac invasion
Article Abstract:
The Anzac Day commemoration at Gallipoli, Turkey, attracts bigger crowds each year. Australian youth treat it as a pilgrimage. Only 300 people came to the 50th anniversary in 1965, but 8,000 came in 1998, double the 1986 amount. The hotels in nearby towns will be booked up in 1999, and many people will camp out at the site.
