Israel at 50
Article Abstract:
Israel is approaching the 50th anniversary of its founding. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faces many challenges, some of his own making, some not. Some analysts think recent reforms to the political system do not go far enough. Relations between Israel and the US Jewish community are strained over the peace process and other issues, such as how much land and sovereignty should be given to Palestinian Arabs in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

Baby boomers at midlife: are they trying too hard to stay young?
Article Abstract:
The baby boomer generation may be going beyond trying to stay fit and healthy and have instead become obsessive about remaining young. Trends that support this argument include the popularity of cosmetic surgery, the increasing number of developments in anti-aging drug therapies, and predictions for a dramatic rise in life expectancy. Some observers warn this obsession will deny boomers the benefits of old age, including wisdom and maturity.
