BSkyB takes major hit on limp subscriber growth: Biggest daily drop sees stock down 19%

Lacklustre subscriber growth and tighter profit projections made $4 billion off the market value of British pay-TV broadcaster British Sky Broadcast (BSkyB) in 2004. BSkyB Group PLC, partly owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp Ltd., tumbled 19 percent, its sharper daily drop ever.
