Criminals Focus on A.T.M.'s, Weak Link in Banking System

Automated teller machines, or ATMs, are becoming a serious problem?for the banking industry due to lack of control and oversight?that contribute to money laundering crime and theft of? financial records. No criminal represents the challenge of stopping ATM larceny more than convict Iljmija Frljuckic who exploited?opportunities provided by private ownership of unregulated ATM machines.?While banks have enjoyed?profits from ATM fees that generate $4.5 billion annually, they recognize the almost unlimited opportunities?con artists have to scam customers of financial institutions and other businesses that provide ATM? services because no license is required to operate the machines.
