WTO faces its biggest challenge
Article Abstract:
The World Trade Organization will hold an emergency meeting to resolve the most serious problems which it faced in its four-year existence. Among these is the complaint by the European Union that the US illegally acted on imposing 100% tariffs on $520 million worth of European goods. Canada is also facing similar sanctions when its legislators passed a law banning Canadian advertising in foreign split-magazines.
