Evaluating quality of life in children with cancer using children's self-reports and parent-proxy reports
Article Abstract:
The agreement on quality of life (QOL) measures between children's self-reports and parent-proxy reports at different points in time, including at baseline and at 6-month follow up, as well as the change in scores between 6-month follow up and baseline were examined. Parents tended to report better QOL than did the children at both baseline and 6-month follow up assessments in both the on- and off-treatment groups.

Comparison of quality of life measures in heart failure
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to compare the psychometric properties of the Chronic Heart Failure Questionnaire (CHQ), the Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire (LHFQ), and the General Health Survey Short-form-12 (SF-12). The result from the study revealed the reliability of these three instruments, but CHQ and LHFQ were more sensitive than SF-12, in detecting clinically important changes over time.
