Traveling abroad with children presents a unique set of challenges for parents, because they need to incorporate equal amounts of the familiar and strange into their trip. Traveling in Britain can be especially enjoyable because there are enough similarities to the US to negate the differences.

A humorous commentary is presented on why video cameras have become so popular and on why they are not the best ways to preserve memories. Really good memories depend on viewing the past through a nostalgic haze, not a video recording.
