An airport's ailments: almost terminal
Article Abstract:
Pearson is a disparate mix of publicly owned and privately owned terminals, some underused, others decrepit. The federal government needs to take charge of the airport's long-awaited renovation and consolidation before Pearson becomes a business and tourism liability for all of Canada.

Three investors are planning an $8 million mining operation that could yield as much as $400 million in gold. The Royal Canadian Mint near the Ottawa River was once the site of a gold refining plant, and waste from the plant deposited large amount of precious metals in the river.
