The stand-off between Branch Davidians and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms in Waco, TX, demonstrates concerns by politicians about the access people have to obtain firearms. Arguments that stricter gun laws will reduce violent crimes are countered by the need for protection.
