Bell wins broadcast licence approval: Allowed to deliver TV over phone lines
Article Abstract:
The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission has approved both of Bell Canada's applications for broadcast licences to deliver television over phone lines. The carrier plans to send television programming down the same fiber and copper lines it uses to offer Internet service to residences, known as Very High Speed Digital Subscriber Line.
