A Federal police agent Ron Mcfadyen under cross-examination in September 2003 admitted that the forgering of medical certificates was a common Australian Federal Police practice, sanctioned by the commissioner. The president of the Law Council of Australia said that the presentation of such documents is reprehensible and the commissioner is answerable for the program's integrity and his business to seek all the legislative backing he needs for it.
