Bridgestone/Firestone to recall more tires
Article Abstract:
Bridgestone/Firestone Inc announced on Jan 2, 2001 that it will recall 8,000 Wilderness LE tires used on 4,700 General Motors Corp's 2000 model GMC Yukon XL and Chevrolet Suburban sport-utility vehicles made at Silao, Mexico. The tiremaker explained that faulty rubber in 150 tires built in Apr 24, 2000 at Cuernavaca, Mexico, could cause tread separations. According to Bridgestone/Firestone, it has 13 warranty claims involving the tires, which have the size P265/70R-16, and the code V672WL11700 or V672WL21700 on the sidewall.
