Future Shop finally gets it

Future Shop, an electronics chain based in Vancouver, British Columbia, has decided to shutter all 23 of its US locations. Company CFO Gary Patterson said the closures are designed to stem a financial haemorrhage in its US operations. In deciding to do so, Future Shop adds to a list of Canadian retailers that have failed in their southern expansion, including Canadian Tire, Dylex and Imasco.

Market watchers still waiting for a reason to believe that all is well

Stock markets in U.S. relying on corporate earnings reports had to deal with mixed results and due to which the markets were also affected. Hence, investors are waiting for earnings reports that would justify a further rally in the stocks and felt it needed to go even higher.
