Capital pains
Article Abstract:
Shifting profits out of shares into cash will carry a large capital gains tax, resulting in less profits for the investor. However, tax costs should not be the only consideration when investing. The only time investors would consider such circumstances is if the stock market is faced with the magnitude of 1987 crash, which would force investors to sell early to recover as much funds as possible even though they will pay the appropriate capital gains tax as a result.
