Chronology
Article Abstract:
Important dates in the history of censorhip in the US educational system is presented. The 1960s saw the beginning of the publication of textbooks that reflected the socio-cultural realities of the era. By the 1970s Christian fundamentalist and right-wing activists launched their own protests to ensure the censorhip of publications deemed morally and philosophically incorrect. The Christian right gains new ground in the 1980s under the auspices of former US Pres Ronald Reagan's administration. In the 1990s, homosexual related topics have become the new point of controversy.

Paying for college: how to get help
Article Abstract:
Advice to prospective college students on how to get financial aid to pay for their education is presented. The very first step would be to approach the financial-aid officer of the school to inquire about possibilities of getting financial aid. As tuition costs are usually beyond the reach of middle- and low-income families, the search for financial aid should be part of the application process of most prospective college students.
