Dangerous lifesavers: carmakers are modifying the air bags that kill

Car makers are responding to the air bag-caused deaths of at least 32 children and 20 adults in the US by emphasizing warnings and developing new air bag technology. Children and small adults can be killed or injured by the force of an air bag opening in response to even minor collisions.

Canada was not the only country to become in embroiled in scandal over the UN relief mission to Somalia from 1992-93. The armies of 20 countries participated in the mission, and both the Italian and Belgium forces are also facing torture, misconduct and abuse charges.
